The red wine La Mattonara Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2011 from the winery Zýmē has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella , Oseleta, Croatina, Molinara from the region Veneto in Italy.
Bright ruby red, brightening on the rim. Aromas of oak, rose petals, cinnamon sticks and rich cherries, followed by hints of warm smoke and dried fruit. Delightfully creamy and refined on the palate, mouth-filling pronounced fruit, supported by an elegant use of wood, savoury, full of character, a very long finish. Magnificent!
