The white wine Buntsandstein Riesling trocken, vintage 2012 from the winery Weingut Odinstal has been rated in 2014 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Relatively strong color. Aroma clearly characterized by spontaneous fermentation. Behind this, closed "cool" aromas such as pear and apple. Soft attack, then a sinewy extract that gives the wine polish and dimension. The acidity remains rather restrained, despite the slender, juicy vein. Tactile, very, very long lasting. Needs at least two more years in the bottle or a carafe.
