Mountain Pale Ale – India Pale Ale Kurz und knapp: Tiroler IPA Hopfige Exotik und karamellige Malzsüße Und das ist drin: Malz: Pilsner, Münchner, Carared Hopfen: Cascade, Amarillo, Citra Hefe: House Ale Yeast Alk.: 6,3 vol. Stammwürze: 16 °P IBU. 45 Die Berge: sie sind stark, massiv und der Anfang von Vielem. So wie auch das Mountain Pale Ale. 2014 als Aushängeschild einer jungen Brauerei inmitten des Tiroler Kaisergebirges kreiert, hat sich „das Mountain“, wie es hier kurz genannt wird, schnell als fester Bestandteil der Bierol Biere etabliert. Und das nicht nur wegen des bildhaften Namens. Wie eine Lawinekommen hier Hopfen, Malz und Hefe daher. Erst ganz leicht, doch sich dann rapide steigernd. In der Nase hopfige Exotik gemischt mit malzigem Toffee und ein paar Nuancen der Haushefe. Auf die Zunge schiebt sich dann ein vollmundiger, wuchtiger Malzkörper mit karamelligen Einschlägen. Delicately cloudy amber, solid foam coverage. Emphasises fruity hop notes of passion fruit, blood orange and pink grapefruit. A tangy first taste, but with a creamy malt body. The fruit returns with a lot of bitterness and a little honey on the finish.
