The architecture and interiors of venues around the globe have their own awards every year. These are the winners in 2021.
A feast for the eyes. The judges of the international Restaurant & Bar Design Awards take this well-known saying to heart every year. Once again, they have chosen the most stylish projects from hundreds of entries and presented them at a Covid-friendly virtual awards ceremony.
The overall winners were Leña restaurant (Design: Astet Studio) in Marbella, Spain, and the More 7 Bar in The Linow Hotel (Design: Republican Metropolis Architecture) in Xi'an, China. In addition, ten regional winners were chosen and awards were presented in 45 categories such as "Lighting Concept" and "Visual Identity".
For Europe, the aforementioned Leña – located in the Hotel Puente Romano – took first place in the restaurant category. The most beautiful European bar is the Múzsa (Design: Richmond International) in the Hungarian capital, located in the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest.
At the 13th edition of the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, the international panel of experts evaluated a total of 844 entries from 69 countries. There was a huge spectrum of entries, ranging from Michelin-starred restaurants to pop-ups, airport restaurants and burger food trucks.
