Les Vignobles André Lurton announces UK partnership

The André Lurton Family are re-focusing on the UK market, working with North South Wines.

One of the most famous names in the wine industry has announced a comeback in the UK: Les Vignobles André Lurton (Lurton Family) will cooperate with its new agency partner North South Wines. A company statement said that their partnership is based on shared values, with a long-term commitment to bringing high-quality wines to the UK.

As of June 2023, North South Wines will be importing several of the family estates exclusively:

  • Château Bonnet from the Entre-deux-Mers region
  • Château Cruzeau from Pessac-Leognan
  • Château Barbe Blanche from Lussac Saint Emilion
  • Château Rochemorin from Pessac-Leognan
  • Château Couhins Lurton from Pessac- Leognan

Chateau Bonnet has undergone important changes in the past three years and has become a sustainable Bordeaux estate, with new viticultural techniques, biodiversity projects, bee hives, sheep, and fruit and vegetable gardens. Jacques Lurton, Chairman and Head winemaker of the six family estates, oversees all the technical aspects alongside Mathilde de Caix-Lurton, General Manager, who is structuring the company's general strategy and commercial direction.

North South Wines recently announced its B-Corp status, becoming the first UK wine distributor to be certified. “We are so excited to start working with Family André Lurton. This partnership represents the first move into Bordeaux for North South Wines, and we feel we have found the perfect winery to work with,” said Claire Greenwood, Head of Off Trade at North South Wines. The company represents more than 27 wineries and achieved a turnover of nearly £30million.
