German sparkling wine is booming - and this fact is attributable to companies such as the Winterling family sparkling wine estate in Niederkirchen near Deidesheim. Sebastian Winterling has consistently banned kitsch in his sparkling wines; they are taut and crisp, even in the sparkling wines labelled as "Brut", such as the NV Rosé; the influence of sweetness remains subtle and does not block the flow. In addition, the base wines are clearly not from bad parents either. With the Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad Riesling, the winery has entered the terroir-driven high-end segment. More of this, please!
