It has been 40 years since Volker Raumland founded the company. Initially without his own vineyards, and financed by his own "mobile sparkling wine cellar", which he drove out to the wine villages in order to bottle ferment and disgorge his sparkling wines at fellow winegrower cellars. Today, the business is a VDP sparkling wine estate with 14 hectares of vines and an immeasurable wealth of experience as well as a collection of reserve wines. Now the next generation, daughters Marie-Louise and Katharina, are ready to take on the next 40 years. The current release of sparkling wines are superb as ever.
