Tasting Notes
Dark ruby, purple reflections, discreet watery edge. Herbal savoury underlaid ripe cherry confit, very multifaceted, fleshy Mencía bouquet. Full-bodied, very complex, ripe red berry notes, supporting tannins, smoky savouriness, fresh texture, very harmonious and long lasting, already easy to drink, salty, enormous length, great future.
More about the tastingDark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate rim brightening. Blackberry confit with a hint of black tea, nuances of cassis, bay leaves, some peat, but also nuances of blood oranges, floral accents. Full-bodied, dark fruit, black cherries, fine, well-balanced tannins, rich in finesse and precisely structured, long finish, unfortunately fewer than one thousand bottles are ever produced - hence the protective price.
More about the tastingThe rare grape variety Mencía in perfection: the mineral extremist at the highest level is reminiscent of damp slate, cold smoke, but also of berry ripeness. Almost strenuously contoured and intense, you feel as if you are biting on stone, endlessly long, still needs years.
