The red wine Gran Albina Reserva Rioja DOCa, vintage 2004 from the winery Bodegas Riojanas has been rated in 2011 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region La Rioja in Spain.
An unusual blend of 34% Tempranillo, 33% Mazuelo and 33% Graciano. Ruby red in colour. Open, spicy, slightly oxidative bouquet with generous fruit and sweetness, clear and precise expression of red berries. Firm, almost distinctive palate with regard to the somewhat dry tannins (Graciano!), otherwise with great concentration and elegant fruit sweetness, silky and round, clear, long-lasting fruit intensity, animating mineral freshness.
