The red wine Puerta Vieja Crianza Rioja DOCa, vintage 2016 from the winery Bodegas Riojanas has been rated in 2019 by Benjamin Herzog & Dominik Vombach with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Carignan, Graciano from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Quite a dark colour. On the nose, dried fruit such as fig, dark berries and oak aromas. Pleasantly round on the palate with well-integrated acidity and vivid but ripe tannins. Ends on woody savoury notes. A classic that pleases.
