The red wine Monte Real Reserva de la Familia Rioja DOCa, vintage 2010 from the winery Bodegas Riojanas has been rated in 2017 by Axel Biesler und Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Tempranillo from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Ripe fruit, cherry and yellow fruit motifs. With air contact a hint of Marsala and fig, but also juniper, black pepper, dry pine brushwood. Opens on the palate with a hint of viscosity, very finely structured, soft tannins, delicate acidity, round and flattering, with a suitably mineral background, already a pleasure to drink.
