The red wine Monte Real Gran Reserva Rioja DOCa, vintage 2005 from the winery Bodegas Riojanas has been rated in 2014 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region La Rioja in Spain.
A hint of sable on the nose, very delicate cherry fruit, sour cherry juice, patina, milk chocolate, roasted peanut, complex and still young. Silky in the mouth, lots of juice behind the tannin structure, seamlessly round and almost light-bodied despite 14% alcohol, delicate and internally of great firmness despite the delicate structure, mineral-spicy finish. Mild and elegant, mature without fatigue.
