The red wine Ventum, vintage 2016 from the winery Can Axartell has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Syrah, Callet from the region Balearic Islands in Spain.
Tasting Notes
Nougat, black cherry, balsamic notes, and some pepper. Meaty grainy but also fresh tannins, spicy palate, easily integrated alcohol (despite 15% by volume!). It has a high intensity, excellent length, with a powerful tactile mineral underpinning. It is a hunk of a wine with an excellent perspective.
