The red wine The Artist, vintage 2017 from the winery Can Axartell has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Merlot, Callet, Manto Negro from the region Balearic Islands in Spain.
An extremely precise and highly ripe fruit, blackberry and elderberry, sage and menthol, cinnamon and mocha. On the palate viscous and a thoroughly fresh palate structure, intensely juicy fruit, powerful drive from the finest tannins, acidity to match the wine, great length, and salty mineral undertones on the finish. The alcohol is not a bit noticeable despite the frighteningly high reading (15%). It has great length and a great future.
