Tasting from 01.01.2022: Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler

Deep, dark glowing ruby in colour. On the nose fruits of the forest cordial, blackberry confit, dark chocolate, pronounced violet notes and echoes of plum. On the palate there is a good structure with fresh acidity and young tannins. The wine opens with malty flavours and has plenty of spicy wood notes and a grippy finish. It offers a lot for the money.
