The red wine Cicogna Merlot Colli Berici DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Cavazza has been rated in 2020 by Kiem Othmar, Staffler Simon with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Veneto in Italy.
Intense, rich garnet ruby with a delicately brightening rim. Open-hearted and inviting nose of ripe forest fruits and Amarena cherry, a hint of beetroot and liquorice, accompanied by an elegant use of wood. Shows itself polished on the palate and with definite drive, clear fruit, unfortunately becomes somewhat drying on the finish.
