Tasting Notes
Bright yellow-green, silver reflections, very fine persistent mousse. Delicate yellow tropical fruit with biscuit and nuts, a hint of lime and orange zest, mineral note, with aeration some almond slivers and floral nuances. Taut, tightly-knit, white vine peach, lively acidity, delicate pineapple on the finish, fine salty touch on the finish, seems very youthful, white apple on the finish, very good length, definite ageing potential, has an almost unbelievable freshness, captivating delicacy and impressive aromatic breadth. Three vintages were used to recreate the "perfect year" and so for the No. 23 the wines were 55% from 2006, 30% from 2004 and 15% from 2002. The grapes come from 11 of the total 17 Grand Crus of Champagne, the cuvée consists of 58% Chardonnay and 42% Pinot Noir. Iteration No.23 Magnum matured to perfection for a total of 14 years, about five years longer than the regular bottle. PM.
