Tasting Notes
(Vintages: 2007/2006/2004) Medium golden yellow with silver reflections and a fine, lively mousse. A hint of roasted aromas and herbal savouriness on the nose, alongside delicate waves of mocha, orange marmalade and hazelnut. It gains more and more facets with air (use a large glass!). Dense and tightly meshed on the palate, with the silky fruited opulence of fresh, sweet stone fruit backed by mineral and lemony notes on the finish. There's enormous length, and certain ageing potential. The normal bottle has already matured on the lees for twelve years, now it's another five years for the magnum. Simply world class. (PM).
