The red wine Les Forts de Latour, vintage 2005 from the winery Château Latour has been rated in 2006 with 92 - 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Pauillac in France.
Strong ruby garnet, delicate violet rim brightening, sweet, dark berry fruit on the nose, a very delicate animal hint, a hint of sweat, sweet heart cherries again. Elegant and with good substance on the palate, sweet tannins, already shows a very convincing length, very good ageing potential. Already surprisingly accessible, good red fruit on the finish.
