Tasting Notes
Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, a fine wood savouriness, blackberry, dark sweet cherry, orange blossom and background hints of nougat, develops well with air. Medium-bodied with ripe cherries, subtle fruit expression, ripe, firm tannins, fresh acidity, well-balanced overall and hints of cinnamon and clove on the mineral finish, good length. Already showing development, a light-footed, yet typical Latour. (8/1/2024, drinking/storage + 30)
More about the tastingIntense ruby core, purple hue to narrow rim. Delicate bouquet; fresh cherries, blackberries and nuances of cassis, spicy new noble wood. Juicy, dark berry fruit, integrated tannins, lively structure, lemony-salty finish, fine leafy savouriness on the aftertaste; still very restrained.
