Tasting Notes
Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, subtle rim brightening. Delicate noble wood nuances, a touch of cedar, black forest berries, some liquorice, tangerine zest. Juicy, fine extract sweetness, ripe cherries, fine, integrated tannins, mineral, balanced, long lasting, has reached a first drinking window. (Drink/store +25).
More about the tastingDark ruby with purple reflections, subtly lighter on the rim. Fresh sweet cherry fruit, delicate orange zest, some nougat, subdued floral aspects and a little liquorice - all underpinned by a pleasant fine-oak savouriness. Juicy, delicate red-berry nuances, well-integrated tannins, lively structure, already well developed; salty notes on the finish and subtle hints of nougat. Has a good length. Full of finesse, and a good food companion, it tends to be drinkable earlier.
More about the tastingDeep, dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose, subtle hints of blackberry confit, a background touch of mulberry, nuances of oak and tobacco. Powerful and taut with notes of dark cherry, firm tannins and a savoury finish with a touch of nougat. Still seems altogether unapproachable, needs time as always, can only radiate a little charm at the moment.
