Tasting Notes
Dark in colour. Lots of new wood, lemon peel (Coca-Cola), vanilla, ripe cassis, iron, raspberry, some mint, eucalyptus. A powerful wine with a lot of flesh, a good viscosity, a tight (but physiologically active) acidity, slightly racy, a burst of fireworks mid-palate, then slightly alcoholic, with a powerful mineral firmness. Will need a lot more time. (Panel score: 99.2).
More about the tastingDeep dark ruby, purple reflections, discreet brightening on the rim, tobacco, intense dark berryish fruit, fine herbal savouriness, a hint of nougat, ethereal notes, multi-faceted and at the same time incredibly underdeveloped. A substantial palate, intense, all components are vivid as if squared and yet harmonious: ripe, lavish fruit, intense, ripe tannins, savouriness, sweetness, length, incredible length. You don't have to be a prophet, just hope for a long life if you still want to encounter this wine at its peak.
