Deep ruby with purple reflections and a discreet ochre rim. Fine ripe cherry fruit, delicate animalistic savouriness, hints of cassis, liquorice and candied orange zest. Substantial, round body, vivid tannins, fine notes of cherry, mineral, good further development and certain ageing potential.
More about the tastingDeep dark ruby garnet, youthful reflections, violet rim. Intense cherry fruit on the nose, ripe plums, vanilla, delicate orange fruit. Very balanced on the palate, powerful, fine red berry fruit, compact but sweet tannins, delicate bitter chocolate notes, racy, finesse-rich style, soft cherry fruit on the finish, storable style, overall somewhat slimmer but also more elegant than usual. Will take some time to mature both in the barrel and in the bottle.
