The red wine Brunello di Montalcino, vintage 2012 from the winery Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Sparkling, clear ruby garnet. Opens with notes of saffron and licorice, then lots of cherry, some pomegranate. Fine-meshed tannins on the palate, spreads out well, lots of ripe fruit, supple and long, salty.
