Tasting Notes
Rich ruby with a slight purple shimmer. Opens with fine spicy notes of tobacco and cardamom, followed by lots of blackberry, some elderberry and earthy components. Firm, dense tannins on the palate characterise the wine, with finely ripened blackberry fruit, unfortunately still very rough on the finish even after 10 years of ageing.
