The white wine Hermitage blanc Blanche, vintage 2012 from the winery Domaine Jean-Louis Chave has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Roussanne from the region Tournon-sur-Rhône in France.
Vine peach, a nuance of wood, very light buttery tones, marzipan. Soft and broad on the palate, the structure appears late and remains phenolically very fine and restrained, but the substance is excellent, ripe acidity, viscous layers, mineral-rich stuff - the rather handsome alcohol frame is perfectly filled with content. Very good length, and still further ageing potential.
