The red wine Saint-Joseph Rouge, vintage 2015 from the winery Domaine Jean-Louis Chave has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter, Peter Moser, Dominik Vombach, Anne Krebiehl with 95+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah
Gorse, allspice and black pepper, oat flakes, some menthol. The wine hints at its aromatic ageing potential early on on the palate, "wild" notes and herbs, the structure is very fine and restrained, the tannins are at a point of maturity where they are just beginning to lose their youthful vigour, the base is generous and supple without becoming excessively oily and massive.
