Tasting Notes

Tasting from 15.03.2011

Medium carmine-garnet in colour with orange reflexes and a broad rim brightening. Smoky berry jam and fine olive notes on the nose, along with milk caramel and a pleasant savouriness. Some ethereal notes emerge with air, along with candied orange zest - an attractive bouquet. The palate is pure elegance, with a core of fine red berry fruit - particularly ripe and sour cherries. It's finely structured, with lemony highlights and silky tannins that create very good persistence. In a word: delicate. Hermitage finesse in its purest form, never a giant.
