The red wine Saffredi Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Fattoria Le Pupille has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Shiny, rich ruby with a slight purple shimmer. Very expressive, profound and multilayered nose opening with notes of tobacco and damp earth, then dominated by cassis with some mint in the background. Very powerful on the palate with a lot of sweet texture, dark berry fruit and some liquorice on the long finish.
