Tasting Notes
Cassis confit, blueberry compote, dark chocolate, undergrowth, silky on the palate, punchy with light (extracted) sweetness and insistent chalky minerality. Alcohol and creaminess are accurately filled with extract, great length. Highly sophisticated and yet very catchy, really has nobility - but in a decidedly soft, plump format.
More about the tastingBrilliant, intense ruby colour with purple shimmer. Opens with notes of rich, dark blackberry, tobacco and chocolate, with fine caramel notes in the background. Firm and gripping on the palate, shows plenty of fleshy tannins, rich, dark berry fruit, spans a wide range, firm drive on the finish.
