The red wine Côte-Rôtie AOC Lieu dit Montmain, vintage 2015 from the winery Ferraton Père & Fils has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Côtes du Rhône in France.
Gingerbread, leather, semi-dark chocolate and menthol. Also alcohol cherry and first subliminal tones of ripeness. Smooth initially, very softly primed, and then with a rich dose of grainy tannins on the plump background. Has some power with rather subtle (but sufficiently sustaining) acidity, but is held together by minerality. Initial spice on the finish, will mature and contribute to the great complexity of this wine.
