The white wine Appius DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Kellerei St. Michael-Eppan has been rated in 2018 with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Brilliant straw yellow with green glints. Opens with smokey notes of sesame and hazelnuts, good play between ripe fruit and savoury notes, anise and sage. Blooms greatly on the palate, creamy and dense, very long finish, fine chestnut and nougat.
