The red wine The Wine Collection Pinot Noir Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Kellerei St. Michael-Eppan has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Nero from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Clear, medium density ruby. Very clear and inviting nose, opens with notes of ripe, dark cherry, some strawberry, plus fine savouriness components. Lots of grippy tannins on the palate, opens up in many layers, red berry fruit, unfortunately a little rough on the finish, needs further ageing.
