The red wine Südtirol Lagrein DOC, vintage 2013 from the winery Kellerei Sankt Pauls has been rated in 2016 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Dark color, notes of blueberry compote, black cherry jam and prunes. Hearty palate structure with a stately body, well-integrated acidity and intense fruit on the finish. Slight green tones in the tannins have a rather positive effect: they emphasize the freshness of the wine and its suitability as a food companion.
