Lagröll ist ein rubinroter Einzelgänger, einer, der gerne sein eigenes Ding dreht. Einen wind- und wetterexponierten Hügel abseits des Paulsner Trubels nennt er seine Heimat. Von hier aus blickt er gen Westen, hinunter auf seine Verwandten in der Stadt, speichert energisch die Nachmittags- und Abendsonne – und arbeitet auch dann noch weiter, wenn alle anderen schon lange ruhen. Ein Lagrein, der gerade wegen des Gerölls und Schotters tief und locker wächst, bei Tag und auch bei Nacht.

Rich ruby red colour with purple highlights. Intense nose, ripe blackberry and plum, savoury, reminiscent of cloves. On the palate tobacco and dark chocolate, lively, juicy, well-integrated tannins, persistent.
