The red wine Capo di Stato Montello Vengazzù Superiore DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Loredan Gasparini has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbech from the region Veneto in Italy.
Powerful, deep dark ruby colour with a fine purple sheen. Intense and appealing nose, opens with notes of cedar wood and graphite, then lots of blackberry and elderberry, embedded in savoury components, some soot. Full-bodied and savoury in the attack and finish, showing grippy tannins in many layers, still very young, earthy notes on the back, dark chocolate on the finish.
