The sweet and dessert wine Vin Santo di Montepulciano DOC 1993 from the winery Montemercurio has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Canaiolo Bianco, Trebbiano di Toscana from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Chestnut coloured, shiny. Precise, clear nose of salted caramel, dried fig, milk chocolate, subtle volatile acidity in the aftertaste, hints of dried peach and dried apricot. Great juiciness on the palate, exciting, fine creaminess, on nutty-salty tones, energetic, racy acidity, comes back for a long time, precise on walnuts, a small masterpiece!
