The red wine Pian del Ciampolo Toscana IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Montevertine has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Canaiolo nero, Colorino from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, shimmering ruby red. Still slightly closed on the nose, some varnish and shoe polish, shy fruit. Very filigree and light-footed on the palate, elegant, shows finely-meshed tannins with fresh juice, very salty, spans a pleasant arc between the beginning and end; harmonious overall, finishes long and clear.
