Tasting Notes
Medium amber with a brown core and an ochre rim. Aromas of peppery balsamic vinegar, figs, nuts, dark nougat, and smoky nuances. Showing tremendous concentration on the palate with the wood spice not aggressive but viscous, with a distinct sweetness that is very well balanced by the tremendous acidity. Fine orange fruit lingers on the long minerally finish, an exceptional old wine, with lots of vitality and power. Half bottle, filled 2004.
