Brilliant ruby, delicate bright purple rim. Fine aroma of amarena cherry, subtle nougat and honey, fine blackberry confit, tobacco nuances, gentle herbal savouriness. Complex, powerful tannins that give the wine a good structure but still seem a bit angular, ripe plum, fine dried fruit notes, fine acid structure, mineral nuances and a chocolate touch on the finish, it is full of character. (cellar for 30 years plus).
