Dark amber, subtle greenish reflections, ochre rim. Hints of fine nut oil, spice, a touch of dried orange zest, some lanolin, but also a bit volatile, a touch of polish. Deep and juicy on the palate, complex, deep wood notes from long barrel ageing, brilliant acid structure, mineral, pleasant sweetness on the finish, a fortified wine in the true sense of the word.
