Rich, sparkling ruby-garnet color. Very intense, inviting nose, smells of licorice, dark plums, some leather, also pronounced earthy tones in the background. Builds richly on the palate at the front, but then unfolds with slightly drying, also somewhat rough tannins, appears a little brittle on the finish.
