Rich ruby with a slight garnet rim. Opens with slightly smoky notes, lots of tobacco, followed by dark berry fruit. Compact fruit on the palate, full of cassis and blackberries, unfolds with grippy, gripping tannins, then unfortunately dries considerably on the finish.
