The red wine Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Cellole, vintage 2011 from the winery San Fabiano Calcinaia has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Rich, almost impenetrable ruby with a slight purple sheen. It opens with emphatic balsamic notes, liquorice, some sandalwood and spice, and a lot of blackberry. The palate is full-bodied and vivid, displaying very good concentration, opening with plenty of firm tannins, dense and profound on the finish.
