The red wine Gillo Dorfles Aglianico Paestum IGP, vintage 2019 from the winery San Salvatore 1988 has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aglianico from the region Campania in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby colour with a slight purple tinge. Opens with notes of cigars and cedar wood, then lots of ripe figs and plums, balsamic notes. Full-bodied and dense initially and when developing on the palate, again lots of balsamic notes, some eucalyptus on the finish, grippy tannins in many layers.
