The red wine Papa Syrah, vintage 2003 from the winery Sine Qua Non has been rated in 2016 by Peter Moser with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Central Coast in United States.
Dark ruby in colour with purple reflections and a subtle watery rim. On the nose, aromas of black berry fruit underlaid with a touch of celery, blackberry confit, delicate tobacco, fine animal savouriness and a touch of fine oak in the background. Extremely full-bodied and fruity, with ripe black cherry fruit and powerful, pronounced, sweet tannins. Showing great volume and length with a lingering finish, this is still very youthful and certainly has further ageing potential.
