Dark ruby in colour with a deep core, purple reflections, and a subtle watery rim. Finely nuanced aromas of liquorice, black forest berry confit, floral with a hint of violets and fine oak spice underlaid with chocolate. The palate is powerful and spicy with great fruit, perfect tannins, mineral and persistent, some nougat and crème de cassis on the finish that is hard to detach from the tongue! Showing very convincing length in youth. Drinking well now, it shows great promise for the future.
