The sweet and dessert wine Capofaro Malvasia di Salina IGT, vintage 2010 from the winery Tasca d’Almerita has been rated in 2011 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Roupeiro from the region Sicily in Italy.
Sparkling, rich golden yellow. Initially somewhat restrained on the nose, but opens up steadily, showing beautiful notes of tangerine and oranges, followed by fine nutmeg. Round and balanced on the palate, flows wonderfully smoothly, lots of rich fruit, beautiful interplay of fruit, acidity and sweetness, subtle salty notes on the finish.
