The sparkling wine Almerita Contessa Franca Spumante Extra Brut Contea di Sclafani DOC, vintage 2011 from the winery Tasca d’Almerita has been rated in 2019 by Gerhild Burkard, Benjamin Herzog with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Sicily in Italy.
Intense, rich golden colour with persistent mousse. Fragrant, fruity nose, with notes of ripe apricots, peach, candied pear, shows nuances of honey and orange marmalade. Elegant wine with well-integrated mousse, develops finely, flows calmly and unerringly over the tongue, harmonious finish. Will benefit of a year of additional bottle ageing.
