The red wine Pinotin im Eichenholzfass gereift trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weinbau Dr. Wobar has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinotin from the region Brandenburg in Germany.
Reminds a bit of Pinot Noir on the nose with skilful oak management, animating and aromatic at the same time. Still quite youthful on the palate with consistent barrique notes and flavours of dark, well-ripened wild berries. Long finish.
More about the tastingA concentrated dark berry fruit emerges from the glass, accompanied by a discreetly persistent woody note. The palate shows some fullness, the tannin is mellow with a medium amount, the acidity remains rather restrained. This powerful wine finishes with a slight tug towards breadth.
